I’m Lyssa deHart, LICSW, MCC and I am a leadership confidence and whole life coach.

It’s time to get naked. You have a very short time on earth, and the question then becomes what will we do with the time we are given? Intimacy and transparency are fundamental to your ability to show up bravely, with humility, and ultimately transform your experience of life.

Dr. Patrick Williams shares stories and continually asks, “What steps will you take to step forward in your life?” via his book Getting Naked: On Being Emotionally Transparent at the Right Time, the Right Place, and with the Right Person.

The idea that love is infinite and you’re capable of accessing love as soon as you choose isn’t new, yet there is a freshness to this telling. I was left with curiosity about ways that I’m still muddling through letting go with love in my own life. And, pondering the manner in which love has the ability to open my world. If, I am brave enough to get naked, first and foremost with myself, and also with those individuals who have earned the right to hear my story.

Self-awareness and a desire to live a life one can be proud of requires us to dive into the pool of ourselves, skinny dip, and find what we most admire about who we are and who we are becoming.

These are just some of the messages I needed to be reminded of as I once again disrobe and get to know myself at the next more profound level. If this resonates with you, check out his book, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Dr. Pat will present ideas from his newest book Getting Naked: On Emotional Transparency at the Right Time, the Right Place, and with the Right Person.

Citing research and some case studies, Dr. Pat will reveal how coaches can elicit more ‘naked conversations” from their clients, which also may be personal narratives that are factors in life or business challenges.

All coaching is eventually about meaning-making, and increase self-awareness for the client. Emotional nakedness and courageous vulnerability get at what may be hidden in the client’s personal storage and keeps them from being fully functioning. These can be things that may be shameful, guilt producing, or embarrassing. They may also be dreams that have been given up on or aspirations that have been unrealized. What’s in our shadow is revealed in the light.

What resides in our personal shadow can be brought into the light with open, honest and heartfelt coaching conversations.

Many clients may have unfinished business from their past, unresolved hurts or dreams that were broken in relationships, work history, or other personal wounds. We all do!!! So how can coaching create a sacred space for naked conversations that assist clients to take back the energy that has been hooked to hiding these negative thoughts, old hurts, or limiting beliefs.

An exploration of historical writers and theorists and the presence of metaphors in human communication. The definition and the neuroscience of metaphors will be explained. An overview and how and when to use metaphors in coaching.

Webinar 2: Clean Language as a tool – Dec 13th
Clean Language ( developed by David Grove) will be reviewed with its ‘formulas’ for using metaphors with the coaching avoiding ‘polluting’ the clients process of awareness by using what they present. Expanding the clients awareness and the ability to deepen their understanding will be presented with practice and examples of use. A Coaching demonstration will be done by Dr. Williams in this session, followed by group response and questions.

Webinar 3: Use of Guided Imagery – Jan 10th
We will explore the use of both guided imagery as a tool for expanding a clients repertoire for accessing the power of the unconscious, thereby making the unknown known. A distinction of guided and contextualizing imagery will be demonstrated.

Webinar 4: The Use of Photographs and Picture Cards – Jan 24th
A tool for deepening a client’s awareness and mining for new insights will be the use of a photographic tool called Points of You. Ways to incorporate photographs and art into your client relationship will be explored.
